The Witness Commission oversees and encourages Ridgeway’s participation in the world through evangelism, mission activities, social action, and service to the local and broader communities.  In addition to providing financial support on a regular basis, we appoint liaisons who try to make members of the congregation aware of opportunities for service.

We support the following organizations/programs:

• Brethren Disaster Relief Programs and Auction
• Christian Churches United
• Elizabethtown College
• COBYS (Church of the Brethren Youth Services)
• Brethren Housing Association
• New Community Project
• CROP Walk

As needs arise that we are made aware of, Witness may authorize financial resources to individuals or to a broad national or international concern. 

We have on-going services projects (like our year-round collection of food for the Central PA Food Bank) and occasional one-time projects (like health kits for Church World Service).
