At Ridgeway Community Church, there are many ways to get connected with fellow members and church friends.

Small Groups

Various small groups meet throughout the year.  Women’s groups like Jubilee meet in members’ homes.  There are several Service opportunities in which to get involved.

Musical Groups

The church choir sings several Sundays per month between September and early June.  However, there are also special concerts and events that can be participated in depending on your availability.  There are also musical opportunities for children and youth (both choral and instrumental).

Caregivers

These are members that have volunteered to meet the needs of  attendees on a regular basis. These individuals keep in contact with their group by visitation, cards, meals, sharing needs with the rest of the congregation and any other needs as they arise.

Organizational Commissions

There are 4 major organizational groups within the church.

1. The Christian Education Commission
   • The Christian Education Commission organizes educational events for the church body which helps us grow in faith.
2. The Witness Commission
   • The Witness Commission organizes and distributes our financial giving to local, state, and national charitable organizations.  They also organize special events as the need arises.
3. The Nurture Commission
   • The Nurture Commission fosters the spiritual life of the congregation through music, worship, and fellowship.  In addition the Nurture Commission also supports the congregation’s needs regarding membership.
     • Membership:  Supports the members of the congregation through various avenues including updating membership rosters, recording attendance, coordinate caregivers and childcare, and other duties on an as need basis. 
     • Music & Worship:  Works closely with the pastor, minister of music and organist to provide authentic worship and coordinate such special worship events as baptism, love feast, communion, etc.
     • Fellowship:  Provides opportunities for Christian fellowship and development of supporting relationships among members and church families.
4. The Stewards Commission
   • The Stewards Commission maintains the church building and grounds.
